Joker Poker Strategy for Beginners
Joker Poker is available in most web-based casinos. This game is a video poker variation that uses a 52-card deck plus an extra card (the joker) that can be used to replace any card to form a winning hand. This game has a high payout ratio. Although it differs from one online establishment to another, average payout rate is around 99%. Joker Poker strategy is easy to learn. Dealt hands fall into 2 groups. The first group has a poker while the second group does not have a poker. The following tips teach how to decide which card to discard. These and more initially came from one of my favorite websites located way up in Canada. The site has a ton of free games and reasonably recent casino reviews. It's a good spot to pick up the random no deposit bonus or other exclusive special for Canadian players.
The following set of joker poker strategy applies if a player is dealt with the group that does not have a joker.
- If a player has 4 of a kind, he must discard the 5th card so that he has a chance to get a joker. He can then form a 5 of a kind.
- If he gets four cards to straight flush, royal flush, flush or straight, discard the 5th card so that he gets a chance to complete a 5-card hand.
- If he gets three cards to straight flush, royal flush, flush or straight, discard the other two cards.
- If a player is dealt 3 of a kind, he must discard the other two cards.
- If he gets two pairs, discard the 5th card so that he gets a chance to form a full house.
- If he is dealt with a pair, he must maintain the two cards and discard the other three.
- If he does not get any of the above combinations, he must discard the five cards.
